Open any question to read its answer; you don't need to follow every step in order. Check the user panel for account details, subscription links, and order information. This page explains how to check and troubleshoot; it doesn't display personal subscription links.
ACCOUNT / SUBSCRIPTION
Account & Subscriptions
From creating an account to switching devices, make sure the details come from the same user panel account.
How do I create a VPNZU account? Do I need an email address?
No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password. Open the user panel, follow the prompts to set your credentials, then sign in to view plans and subscription options. Save your username and password in a password manager you trust. You can use the same account on other devices without creating a separate account for each one.
Where can I find my subscription link?
Sign in to the user panel and find the import link for your account under subscription details. Then follow the instructions for your platform's client. Your subscription link is account information, so don't post it on public pages, in group chats, or in screenshots. If your client says the subscription is invalid, check your account and plan status in the panel, then get the import link again. Don't look for a supposed universal link in search results.
How do I update my client subscription when the route list changes?
Find the VPNZU subscription in your client's subscription manager and use its update or refresh option. Then reopen the route list and check the region names. If the old list still appears, make sure the client is using the subscription you originally imported and that its link belongs to your current account. Before importing again, you can remove outdated entries to avoid confusing routes with the same name.
Do I need to buy another plan to use a different device?
VPNZU supports unlimited devices, so switching devices doesn't mean you need to buy the same plan again. Sign in to your existing account on the new device, get the client and subscription details from the panel, and follow the import instructions for that platform. Your plan's data allowance stays with your account; it isn't split into separate allowances when you switch between Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, or Linux devices.

CONNECTION / CHECKS
Connections & Troubleshooting
Check your network, subscription, and client settings one by one, and keep a record of the exact error message.
What should I check first if my client won't connect?
First, make sure your device can access regular websites. Then check your plan status and confirm that the subscription in your client is up to date. Try a route in a different region or with a different route type, and note the exact error message. Avoid running multiple proxy tools at once, as they can override each other's system proxy settings. If you still can't connect, note your platform, route name, error message, and when the issue occurred, then submit a ticket through the user panel.
Why does my browser work, but a particular app won't use the route?
A working browser connection doesn't mean every app uses the same network path. Check whether your client is in global or rule-based mode, and whether a rule is sending the app directly. Also check if the app is still using an existing connection. You can briefly switch client modes to compare, then adjust the routing rules once you know the cause. If only one app is affected, note its name and your operating system; that helps narrow down the issue more than repeatedly switching routes.
How can I check my current exit IP after connecting?
After connecting to a route, open the IP check page on this site to see whether it can detect your current exit information. Compare the displayed region with the region of your selected route. If the result hasn't changed, check that the client has enabled the proxy and that your browser or app isn't set to connect directly. A single check can also be affected by browser caching or a network change. Reload the page and compare results in other apps; this is more reliable than relying only on the client's connected status.
What should I do if client installation or import gets stuck?
Choose the platform that matches your device from the client section of the user panel, then follow the guide to install the client and import your subscription. We don't provide separate installer links in the FAQ. If no routes appear after importing, make sure you pasted the subscription link into the client's subscription manager, not a regular route configuration field. Review system permission prompts only after confirming the client source and the permissions it needs. If you see an error, include its exact wording in a ticket through the panel.
Check your exit IP with IP lookup. For a manual review, submit a ticket in the user panel.
ROUTES / EXPERIENCE
Speed & Routes
Choose the target region first, then compare routes in the same usage scenario.
Video stutters during peak hours. Should I change regions or routes first?
Keep the target service's region the same and compare the different routes available in that region. This makes it easier to tell whether the issue is with the route or your region choice. If none of the routes in that region work well, try a nearby exit region that meets the service's requirements. Use the same app and content for each test, and avoid large file transfers in the background. Peak-hour performance depends on your local network, the target service, and the cross-border connection—not just the route name.
How do I choose between direct, relay, and IEPL routes?
Choose an exit region based on what you want to use, then compare route types. A direct route is a good starting point for basic connectivity tests. A relay route offers an alternative cross-border path to try if the direct route is unstable. IEPL can be a first option when connection stability matters more. Route types don't have a fixed ranking that works for every network. Performance in the same region can still vary with your local connection, the destination service, and the time of day, so test routes with the apps you use regularly.
How do I choose an exit region for streaming or AI tools?
First check whether the service is available in your chosen region, then select an exit there. Don't rely only on streaming or AI labels in route names. If the service opens but loads slowly, compare different routes in the same exit region. If you see a region restriction, check whether your account region, the service's rules, and your current exit region match. Third-party services determine their own regional availability and content catalogs; a successful route connection doesn't guarantee access to the same content.
My connection is still slow after switching routes. How can I find the bottleneck?
First check whether all websites are slow or just one service. If everything is slow, compare your device on different network connections, refresh the subscription, and try another route. If only one service is slow, its response time and region may also be factors. Pause background downloads and keep the app, exit region, and test content the same while you compare routes one at a time. When contacting support, describe your local network type, selected region, and specific symptoms—not just that it's slow.
Browse region groups and route types on Global Routes. For path differences, read the protocol guide.
BILLING / REFUNDS
Billing & Refunds
Check monthly plans, data packages, and order terms separately to avoid mixing up their billing rules.
What monthly plans are available, and when does data reset?
Monthly plans come in three tiers: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on your activation date, not at the start of each calendar month. Choose a plan based on how you browse, stream, and transfer files. Check your current usage in the user panel. If you'd rather not have a monthly reset, compare the data package billing options on the plans page.
What happens to the cost if I upgrade a monthly plan mid-cycle?
When you upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated based on the remaining days. Before upgrading, check your current plan, remaining usage, and the changes shown at checkout in the user panel. Don't assume the upgrade charge is simply the difference between the listed prices; your activation date and remaining days affect the amount shown at checkout. If it doesn't look right, submit a ticket for review before continuing.
What's the difference between a data package and a monthly plan?
Data packages are used as you go and never expire. Options are ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB. Monthly plans reset their included data each month on your activation date. If your usage varies, compare the billing rules rather than just the listed prices: consider whether you need data to reset monthly and how you'd prefer to plan your purchases. Check the plans page and user panel for current options and account details.
Which payment methods are supported?
VPNZU accepts Alipay, WeChat Pay, and USDT. After choosing a plan, check the available payment methods and order details during checkout in the user panel. The amount shown at checkout is the amount to pay. Before paying, confirm the plan name, data rules, and account. Don't use temporary payment details from chat messages instead of the order in the panel. If your account status hasn't updated after payment, keep the order details and report the issue in a panel ticket for review.
How do I request a refund?
VPNZU offers a 60-day no-questions-asked refund. To request one, sign in to the user panel, find the relevant order, and submit a ticket explaining your request so support can review the order and track its progress. Read the refund policy for the official terms before submitting. Don't post order or account details publicly. If you're also having connection issues, include the client error and selected route in your ticket so the two issues can be handled separately.
Compare plans on the pricing page. For the official request terms, see the refund policy.
